A half choke dog collar made with soft rope material.

This collar is easy to put on by slipping it over your dog’s head, and can be used for a wide range of dogs from small to large breeds.

The half choke design works by tightening the chain section when your dog pulls. This type of collar is often used to help teach walking manners to dogs that tend to pull during walks.

Only the chain section tightens, while the rope section does not tighten, allowing for safer training when used correctly.

【How to choose the right size】

When choosing a half choke collar size, please measure the following two areas.

Head circumference:
Because this collar is slipped over your dog’s head, your dog’s head circumference must be smaller than the collar’s maximum size.

Example:
Dog’s head circumference < collar’s maximum size

Neck circumference:
To prevent the collar from slipping off, your dog’s neck circumference must be equal to or larger than the collar’s minimum size.

Example:
Dog’s neck circumference ≥ collar’s minimum size

【How to choose a size for training】

If you are using the collar for training, choose a size that tightens slightly when your dog pulls strongly.

For small dogs:
Your dog’s actual neck circumference minus 1–2cm should still be equal to or larger than the collar’s minimum size.

Example:
Actual neck circumference - 1–2cm ≥ collar’s minimum size

For large dogs:
Your dog’s actual neck circumference minus 3–4cm should still be equal to or larger than the collar’s minimum size.

Example:
Actual neck circumference - 3–4cm ≥ collar’s minimum size

【For dogs with thick fur】

To avoid measurement errors caused by fur thickness, part the fur firmly when measuring your dog’s neck circumference.

This collar tightens down to its minimum size and expands up to its maximum size.
